He wishes to remain anonymous because the debate surrounding reciprocal links has already eaten hours if not weeks of his time. I will vouch he is a professional link builder. Today's article by Ben Kemp was over the top in terms of mis-guided, myth-laden information about reciprocation...

Suicide in Cyberspace - Your Outward Links Can Kill Your Rankings By Ben Kemp (c) 2007

Almost nothing he presented about reciprocation represents what we see here in the day-to-day practice of proper reciprocation, over the course of several years, and hundreds of client sites.
